According to reports, Tottenham have beaten Chelsea and Barcelona in the race to sign £35 million rated Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez.
Spurs are the only side in the Premiership that have yet to make a new signing this summer and Sanchez is set to become their first squad addition this summer.
The Colombian international Sanchez was impressive last season for Dutch giants Ajax, helping the club to reach the final of the Europa League where they lost to Manchester United in the final.
Sanchez is a highly rated and is a versatile player, being able to operate in central defence as well as in the right back position.
He will be a good squad addition for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and will be a good person to provide competition for Kieran Trippier who is set to be the North London clubs first choice right back following the departure of Kyle Walker to Manchester City.
