Where to Watch Liga MX for Free: Legal Streams & TV

If you’re trying to figure out where to watch Liga MX for free, there are several legitimate options in the United States. You can pick up select matches free over the air with an indoor TV antenna, stream others on genuinely free platforms, use short free trials from streaming services, or get premium streaming included with memberships you already pay for.

For matches that aren’t available free over the air, some Liga MX streaming services are also available through Prime Video Channels, where eligible customers may see free-trial offers. ViX Premium on Prime Video is particularly relevant because ViX carries a large portion of Liga MX’s U.S. streaming coverage. Trial availability can vary, so check the offer shown at signup.

One important caveat up front: there is no single permanently free service that reliably carries every Liga MX match. U.S. rights are fragmented and often depend on the home club. TelevisaUnivision (Univision, UniMás, and TUDN) carries many clubs, Telemundo carries Chivas home matches, FOX Sports carries selected clubs through FOX Deportes, and CBS Sports carries selected matches in English under a sublicense. That fragmentation is why the free path changes from match to match.

A quick terminology note, because the channel names are easy to mix up. Univision is a national broadcast network you can receive free with an antenna; TUDN is TelevisaUnivision’s pay TV sports channel and requires a cable, satellite, or streaming TV package. Likewise, Telemundo is a national broadcast network available free over the air, while Universo is its pay TV cable sister channel.

Where to Watch the Next Liga MX Matches for Free on TV

These are the matches genuinely available for free in the U.S. next week via over-the-air broadcast. Broadcast assignments can change, so FutnSoccer updates this schedule as new U.S. TV and Liga MX streaming information is confirmed.

These Liga MX Apertura 2026 Jornada 11 matches are scheduled to air on U.S. over-the-air broadcast television, meaning viewers may be able to watch them free with a TV antenna where the listed network is available locally.

Your four kinds of “free”

Not every free option works the same way. This guide separates them into four buckets so you know exactly what you are getting.

Category What it means Examples
Truly free No subscription and no trial needed, just access Over-the-air antenna broadcasts on Univision, UniMás, or Telemundo; CBS Sports Golazo Network; ViX Gratis where a match is specifically available free
Free trials Temporary access to a paid service that converts to paid if you do not cancel Fubo and eligible Prime Video Channel trial offers
Included at no additional cost A streaming subscription bundled with a membership you already pay for Peacock Premium via Walmart+, Instacart+, or Spectrum; American Express Platinum statement credits
Temporary promotions Time-limited offers that add free access for a defined window Mastercard three-month Instacart+ offer through January 31, 2027

A trial is not the same as a free broadcast. A free trial gives you temporary access to a paid service and generally converts to a paid subscription automatically if you do not cancel. A genuinely free match costs you nothing beyond equipment you already own.

TV antenna: the best no-subscription option

Many Liga MX matchdays include games on free over-the-air broadcast networks. Univision and UniMás both air Liga MX, and Telemundo carries Chivas home matches when they are assigned to its broadcast network. These channels can be received with an antenna in many U.S. markets.

An antenna has an upfront cost, but once purchased, it can receive eligible over-the-air broadcasts without a recurring television subscription fee. Reception depends on your location, distance from local transmitters, and your setup, so check what your local stations carry.

If you need one, a simple indoor TV antenna is enough in many areas.

Free streaming options

CBS Sports Golazo Network

CBS Sports continues to carry selected Liga MX matches in English during the 2026-27 season, with some games appearing on the free CBS Sports Golazo Network and others on paid CBS Sports platforms. Golazo Network is a free, ad-supported streaming channel available on platforms including Pluto TV, so the matches it carries cost nothing to watch. The English-language coverage is a sublicense from TelevisaUnivision covering regular-season and Liguilla matches.

ViX Gratis vs ViX Premium

ViX comes in two tiers. ViX Gratis is the free, ad-supported tier. ViX Premium is the paid tier with the larger sports catalog. When a broadcaster schedule lists a match simply as “ViX,” that alone does not tell you which tier carries it. If a match is not specifically confirmed as available through ViX Gratis, do not assume it is free.

For the paid tier, ViX Premium on Prime Video is one way to subscribe. Eligible Prime Video customers may also be shown a free-trial offer at signup; availability can vary by account and promotion.

Is Liga MX free on Tubi?

Tubi does not currently provide live men’s Liga MX coverage in the United States. That was not always the case: during the 2024 Clausura, Tubi streamed select Liga MX and Liga MX Femenil matches live and free in the U.S., in English and Spanish, starting with FC Juárez vs Puebla on February 17, 2024. That arrangement did not continue, and no live men’s Liga MX matches are scheduled on Tubi in the U.S. today.

What remains in the U.S. app is on-demand replays from that earlier simulcast era. The on-demand library is labeled around FC Juárez home matches from 2024, so anything you find there is old, not current-season coverage.

Separately, Tubi holds a free live rights deal for Club León and Club Pachuca home matches, but it covers Mexico and Latin America only (Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama), not the United States. Tubi’s own announcement of that deal lists the covered territories.

Bottom line: do not assume Tubi offers a free U.S. live stream just because it holds Liga MX rights in other territories. For live matches, use the free options listed above instead.

Free trials: Fubo and Prime Video Channels

Free trials can cover matches that are not available free anywhere else, but they are temporary and generally convert to paid subscriptions if you do not cancel. Always check the current offer and terms at signup.

Fubo

Fubo offers a trial for eligible new users. Trial length can vary by plan, a credit or debit card is required, and the trial converts to a paid subscription automatically if it is not canceled.

Fubo does not carry Univision, UniMás, or TUDN, so its trial is most useful for Liga MX matches carried on channels it does offer, such as Telemundo, Universo, or FOX Deportes.

Prime Video Channels free trials

Several Liga MX relevant streaming services are available as add-on subscriptions through Prime Video. If you already have Amazon Prime or Prime Video, eligible customers may be offered a free trial for certain Prime Video Channel add-ons. The add-on itself may be free during the trial period, but the underlying Prime or Prime Video membership is separate. Trial availability and length vary by service, promotion, and customer, and the add-on will generally convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.

      • ViX Premium on Prime Video: one of the most useful Liga MX options because it carries much of TelevisaUnivision’s streaming inventory (like Club America). Eligible customers may see a free-trial offer for the add-on.
      • Peacock on Prime Video: relevant for Telemundo’s Liga MX coverage, particularly Chivas home matches. A free-trial offer may be available to eligible customers.

Prime Video Channel trial eligibility and length can change, so use the offer displayed on Amazon at signup rather than assuming every account receives the same trial.

ViX Premium direct

ViX does not currently advertise a standard U.S. free trial when you subscribe directly. If you already use Prime Video, though, the ViX Premium add-on may show a separate trial offer for eligible customers.

Peacock direct

Peacock also does not currently advertise a standard free trial for direct subscriptions. Prime Video customers may see a separate trial offer for the Peacock add-on. Peacock is especially relevant for Liga MX fans because it carries Telemundo’s coverage, including Chivas home matches.

Included at no additional cost: membership benefits

If you already pay for one of these memberships, you may already have a streaming service that carries Liga MX at no additional charge:

      • Walmart+: members can choose Peacock Premium or Paramount+ Essential as an included streaming benefit and switch their selection every 90 days. Peacock carries Telemundo’s Liga MX coverage.
      • Instacart+: eligible U.S. members can receive Peacock Premium at no additional cost, giving them access to Telemundo’s Liga MX coverage.
      • Spectrum: qualifying TV Select plans include several useful Liga MX streaming services at no additional cost, including Peacock Premium with Ads, FOX One, and ViX Premium with Ads.
      • American Express Platinum: eligible cardmembers who enroll can use the card’s digital entertainment credit toward qualifying Peacock subscriptions. A separate Walmart+ credit can also cover an eligible monthly Walmart+ membership, which can then provide the Peacock streaming benefit.

Temporary promotions

Mastercard + Instacart+: eligible U.S. Mastercard credit or debit cardholders can receive three free months of Instacart+ if they meet the offer requirements. The promotion must be redeemed by January 31, 2027. Since Instacart+ includes Peacock Premium, this can provide temporary no-additional-cost access to Telemundo’s Liga MX coverage.

Promotional offers change frequently. FutnSoccer updates this guide when a relevant legal free-viewing option becomes available.

Can I watch every Liga MX match for free?

No. U.S. rights are split across broadcast, cable, and streaming, and the home club usually determines where a match airs. Matches on Univision, UniMás, or Telemundo can be watched free with an antenna when the local station is available. Matches exclusive to pay channels such as TUDN, Universo, or FOX Deportes require a pay TV package, trial, or relevant streaming subscription.

Selected matches in English are also available free through the CBS Sports Golazo Network. For the full season-long breakdown, see FutnSoccer’s Liga MX watch guide.
