Tottenham star Dembele explains what is more important than new signings

Mousa Dembele has claimed that Tottenham’s unique spirit in the dressing room is more important than the club making new signings.

Spurs manager Daniel Levy is currently under pressure to bring new players to the squad as it looks to challenge for major silverware next season.

The North London club have yet to make a significant signing this summer and have seen Kyle Walker leave and link up with Manchester City. They have been strongly linked with Ross Barkley of Everton though Levy is said to be unhappy with the £50 million valuation that the Toffees have placed on the player.

The Premier League runners up from last season have also been linked with PSG star Serge Aurier though no deal has materialized as yet.

Dembele however thinks that the unique spirit within the team is more important than making new signings and said, “We concentrate on the team we have now. If the team stays like this, we know that like last year we’re going to have a good season.

“It’s always good to force things with different players, but we concentrate on the team we have now and we’re very positive.”
