Tottenham reportedly edging closer to signing South American winger

According to the Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur have started negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain for the transfer of Lucas Moura.

The same source claims that the French heavyweights are demanding £23 million to release the Brazilian winger, who already has a verbal agreement with the London club.

The 25-year-old forward has had a disappointing first half of the season, struggling to find his place next to Julian Draxler, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar. So, he is determined to leave Parc des Princes for some regular first-team football to enhance his chances of participating in the upcoming World Cup with Brazil.

Mauricio Pochettino has announced his desire to sign a top-class winger this January, but only at a fair price. His primary target had been Bordeaux winger Malcom, but his £45 million price tag forced the Argentine to look for other options.

Napoli, Valencia, Borussia Dortmund, and Shandong Luneng Taishan have all shown interest in Lucas, however, Spurs are currently leading the chase.
