Tottenham reportedly keen on landing £10million-rated teenager after failing two years ago

According to The Sun, Tottenham are interested in bringing Aston Villa winger Andre Green, 19, to north London this January, but they face stiff competition from Bournemouth for his signature.

Spurs have been on the trail of the England youth international since 2016, but he chose to extend his contract with the Villans in order to continue his development at the time.

Green recently returned from a hamstring injury he picked up last month, but he has impressed Tottenham scouts during games for the Championship outfit and their development squad.

While Aston Villa believe the winger would play a big role in their attempt to return to the topflight, it’s believed a £10million offer could convince them into parting ways with him this month.

Tottenham are always on the lookout for the best young and homegrown talents, and having played for England at every level from schoolboy to under-20, Green remains widely tipped to turn into a star.

Given manager Mauricio Pochettino’s track record of bringing the best out in youngsters, the Aston Villa academy graduate could be next in line to follow in the steps of the likes of Harry Kane, Harry Winks and Dele Alli.
