Manchester United will complete the signing of Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur but the move will only go through at the end of the season, according to Steve Nicol.
Tottenham’s attacking left-back Danny Rose has been linked with a move to Manchester United for some time now with the England international believed to be close to joining the Red Devils this transfer window.
This rumor has been fueled by Rose’s comments earlier this season when he complained about the lack of suitable pay at Tottenham and his desire to earn one big contract before retirement.
These comments had led many to tip Manchester United to complete the move this transfer window as well but it looks like the club has decided to postpone their pursuit of the England international.
This idea has been pitched by ESPN pundit Nicol who told ESPN, “This is one that I can see happening. Tottenham have got enough cover, the likes of (Serge) Aurier, (Kieran) Trippier, (Ben) Davies.
“Again it will take a Kyle Walker-type money, £50m, to get him. But I think Manchester United will pay that amount of money and I think this will happen. Again, I don’t see it happening now but I think in the summer, I think this is a hit.”
