According to The Sun, Tottenham are willing to extend the contract of defender Toby Alderweireld along with one of Harry Kane.
The Belgian international has been a standard first team player for Tottenham for the last couple of seasons and has formed the centre-back duo together with Jan Vertonghen over the past few seasons.
Now, manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to secure the future of one of his best defenders by offering him a new contract until 2020.
There are numerous teams that would like to have the 28-year-old centre-back in their team according to his agent, who had also asked the club to either extend his current contract that expires in 6 months or sell him in January.
It is yet to be seen what will happen with Alderweireld, but Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has promised that he will do anything to bring the Spurs to the top and keeping hold of the Belgian international would be very a important step on that road.
