Crystal Palace are reportedly aiming to beat Newcastle United and Tottenham in the race to sign Turkish striker Cenk Tosun next month.
The Besiktas striker has been in good form and has been linked with a move to England.
Everton and Palace have been previously linked with the player and reports this week have suggested that the Eagles are willing to fork out €20 million in order to recruit him.
A move to England at this stage of his career could be something that is very appealing to Tosun.
He is perhaps at the peak of his career and now is the right time to be playing in one of the World’s elite Leagues.
However Besiktas president FikretOrman naturally wants Tosun to stay put with a Champions League last 16 on the horizon and believes that €20 million is a very small figure for the player.
It remains to be seen what will happen but the Magpies and Palace are two clubs that are likely to make reinforcements in January as they look to survive relegation.
