Sky Sports journalist claims Tottenham eyeing French midfielder

Sky Sports Journalist Lyall Thomas has claimed that Tottenham are keeping tabs on Lille midfielder Yves Bissouma.

The North London club are reportedly viewing the 21-year-old Bissouma as a long term replacement for the aging Mousa Dembele. Lyall also reports that Spurs are keeping tabs on Geoffrey Kondogbia, who is on loan with Inter Milan.

Given the injury problems of Dembele, it is not surprising to see that Spurs are interested in Bissouma.  He is a talented midfielder who arguably has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.

The Mali international is out of contract in 2019 and he is therefore likely to leave Lille during one of the next two transfer windows.

Spurs have been reluctant during recent years to buy players during the January transfer window and if they do end up signing Bissouma, it will likely be during the January transfer window.
