Tottenham eyeing a swoop for Valencia star as potential Dembele replacement

Tottenham are reportedly eyeing Geoffrey Kondogbia of Valencia as a replacement for Moussa Dembele.

Dembele has just 18 months remaining on his current deal with the Lilywhites and they are now looking for his replacement.

One of the players who they are looking at is Kondogbia who has been excellent so far this season at Valencia on loan from Inter Milan.

His performances have helped Valencia to second place on the La Liga standings behind only Barcelona.

Tottenham have been aware of Kondogbia since his time at Monaco but he eventually ended up joining Inter in 2015 for a fee of £30 million.

He went on to make 43 starts during two seasons with Inter but was deemed surplus to requirements during the summer when Luciano Spalletti was appointed as manager.

Recruiting Kondogbia will however not be easy for Spurs as Valencia are likely going to look to buy him permanently at the end of the season.
