Carragher says this Tottenham player is a better crosser than De Bruyne

Jamie Carragher has said that he believes that Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier is a better crosser of the ball than Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne.

Since establishing him within the first team at Spurs following the departure of Kyle Walker, Trippier has developed a reputation for having a good crossing ability and being able to pose an attacking threat.

The 27-year-old usually plays in the right-wing-back position which allows him to cause damage during the final third. He has supplied several assists this season across 13 games in all competitions.

De Bruyne has been in sublime form this season and is a frontrunner to win the PFA Player of the year award. The crossing ability of the Belgian has helped him to claim nine assists during his 18 games.

“By moving five or 10 yards to the right he’s (De Bruyne) in a crossing position and there’s no better crosser of a ball in the Premier League, perhaps with the exception of Kieran Trippier,” Carragher said, as quoted by Sky Sports.
