Tottenham striker Harry Kane is facing a race against time to be fit for his side’s Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
The England international had to miss his sides 1-0 defeat against Manchester United on Saturday due to a hamstring problem.
Wednesday’s clash could end up determining who will finish in pole position in the group between Spurs and Madrid and it will be vitally important that Kane be fit if the North London club are to get a favorable result.
United managed to win the game on Saturday against Spurs through a late strike from Anthony Martial. Pochettino’s club did have a good chance to score when Dele Alli put wide a good chipped pass from Christian Eriksen.
While speaking about the fitness of Kane, Pochettino said: “We’ll see in the next few days if he will be fit against Real Madrid. We need to asses him tomorrow and then take a decision.”
