Tottenham star thanks his teammates following West Ham victory

Tottenham defender Serge Aurier has thanked his team-mates after they managed to secure a 3-2 victory over West Ham on Saturday despite his second half red-card.

Aurier started off life at his new club on a bad note after he was given his marching orders on debut following two poor challenges on Andy Carroll.

Two goals from in-form striker Harry Kane saw the North London club go into half time firmly in control. Javier Hernandez pulled one back for the Hammers before Christian Eriksen scored to seal victory for Spurs.

Tottenham looked firmly in control following Eriksen’s goal though Slaven Bilic’s side were handed a lifeline following Aurier’s red-car and Cheikhou Kouyate brought the Hammer back into the game after pulling one back from a header.

After the match the Ivorian, Aurier took to Twitter to thank his team-mates for managing to hold on to victory. He stated, “Thank you guys 3 points important in this derby.”
