Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has said that youngsters Josh Onomah and Cameron Carter-Vickers must use their current loan spells to try and impress and prove that they are worthy of donning the jersey of the Lillywhites.

Onomah is on the books of Villa for this season and played well on Friday as he scored a goal for the Villains to earn them a 1-1 draw with Bristol City. Carter-Vickers meanwhile is with Sheffield United and is doing a decent job as well.

Pochettino has now said about the two youngsters, “I think after two years, nearly two and half, of working with Josh and Cameron, if they cannot reach the starting eleven regularly in the team, this season was the last opportunity, or the opportunity now for them to try to move and try to play.”

The duo will now need to follow in the footsteps of Harry Kane, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose if they want to achieve their goal of playing for the Spurs team. This season is a very important time in their respective careers.
