Tottenham are set to hand a third new contract in 18 months to youngster Kyle Walker-Peters. The 20-year-old was required to deputize for the injured Kieran Trippier during Spurs’ 2-0 victory over Newcastle last weekend and did a sterling job.
Though the North London club are now hoping to bring in Serge Aurier to provide Trippier with competition for the right back place, Walker-Peters is able to play on both flanks and is seen as a superstar of the future.
He could also be set to gain more opportunities in the long term given that the future of Danny Rose is unsettled. The 27-year-old Rose recently publically stated that he could consider leaving the club if he received an offer from a club that challenges for major silverware on a regular basis.
Spurs have managed to also complete a deal for Davinson Sanchez. Sanchez is seen as a star of the future and was exceptional last season as he helped Ajax reach the final of the Europa League.
