According to reports, Newcastle United are interested in luring Stefan Jovetic and have sent out a delegation to Italy to try and seal a deal.
Despite bringing in Joselu from Stoke City for £5 million this week, Rafa Benitez is trying to add another striker to his squad to provide competition to Dwight Gayle.
The 27-year-old Jovetic has played in England before having joined Manchester City in 2013.
During his time with the Citizens, he went on to play 39 games in all competitions, scoring 11 goals before moving to Inter in 2015, initially on loan before the move was made permanent last summer.
Should the Magpies manage to lure the Montenegro international Jovetic, it will be a good coup and their attack will be further bolstered.
It remains to be seen if they player will be keen on a return to England following his previous mixed spell in the country.
