According to reports, Davinson Sanchez has informed Ajax that he wishes to leave the club and join Tottenham.
The Colombian international was impressive last season, helping the Dutch giants to reach the final of the Europa League, where they lost in the final to Manchester United.
He is very highly rated and turned down a move to Barcelona last season as he feared that he would not get regular game time
Ajax’s sporting director Marc Overmars attempted to tie the 21-year-old Sanchez down to a new deal, however it now appears that he has his head said on joining Spurs.
An offer in the region of £28 million is said to arrive from the North London club soon though Ajax are demanding a fee in the region of £35 million.
Spurs are also said to be interested in Everton midfielder Ross Barkley as well as strikers Anthony Martial of Manchester United and Lazio’s Balde Keita as they look to bolster their side this season.
