Tottenham reportedly could be involved in a sensational swap deal with title rivals

According to The Record, Tottenham left-back Danny Rose has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United following his latest revelations.

From the look of things, the Red Devils appear more than willing to let Luke Shaw go the other way as part of a deal.

The admission of the 27-year-old Spurs star of being open to leaving the north London club has also made Chelsea and Manchester City emerge as contenders in the battle for his precious signature.

Rose is currently undergoing rehabilitation as he nears a return to full fitness having been out of action since January.

With wages and silverware major highlights of his recent tête-à-tête with The Sun, United are definitely more than willing to go all the way in offering the England international a lucrative package as far as the latter goes.

Moreover, Shaw and Mourinho having exactly gotten along well, and the 22-year-old is neither exactly the most untouchable member of the Red Devils squad.

Not when there is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to bring the best left-back in town to Old Trafford presenting itself in the full glare of publicity.

While Rose won’t be coming cheap, and would carefully take his time considering his next choice(s), having a makeweight like the promising, young and sellable Luke Shaw at hand makes things easier for United in winning the battle for signature, if one ever arises.

If Tottenham are willing to do business, Manchester United are a ready-suitor, willing to present cash and player, and it’s an offer Spurs could find irresistible should they deem their “wantaway” left-back as no longer indispensable. This could be a win-win situation for the 4 parties involved.
