West Ham reportedly dealt a blow in their hopes of signing international midfielder

West Ham have been dealt a transfer blow after it has emerged that Jack Wilshere is set to turn down the chance to join the Hammers in favor of remaining at Arsenal and fighting for a place in the first team.

The injury prone Wilshere has been strongly linked with a move away from the Emirates this summer after falling out with Arsene Wenger and spent last season on loan with Bournemouth.

The 25-year-old Wilshere is still recovering from a broken leg which he suffered while in action for the Cherries against Tottenham last season and it now appears that he wishes to remain a part of the Gunners as he recoves.

Wilshere also has just one year left on his current contract and should be wish to secure himself a new deal with Wenger’s side; he will have to work very hard in training and in games. It remains to be seen what will happen.
