Wolverhamton Wanderers have captured the signature of midfielder Diogo Jota on loan from Atletico Madrid, it has been confirmed.
The move sees the Portugal under-21 international Jota become reunited with Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo whom he played under whilst at Porto last season.
The 20-year-old Jota performed decently for Porto last season, scoring nine goals for the club from 38 appearances in all competitions.
Despite being a youngster, he has plenty of experience under his belt and will be exciting to watch for Wolves fans as the club aims to challenge for Premier League promotion next season.
Upon the completion of the signing, Jota has revealed that he is excited about things at his new club, saying, “I am very excited — Wolves is a huge club and a historic club.
“It is always a goal for me to play in England, and this is a good opportunity. It is good for me to work with Nuno again because I know him and worked with him last year.”
