According to Nottingham Post, Wolverhampton is keen on signing Southampton’s striker Sam Gallagher.

Gallagher is said to have been monitored during the previous several weeks by the club from Molineux Stadium.

Nuno Espírito Santo is doing everything in his power to persuade Southampton’s management to accept a loan offer.

The striker has been a member of Southampton since 2012, but in the past four years he has played only 18 games and scored one goal.

Gallagher was sent on loan to Milton Keynes Dons, and during the previous year, he was with the Blackburn Rovers.

At Ewood Park, the prolific striker appeared in 42 games and scored 11 times.

On the 1st of July this year, the 21-year-old signed a new and improved 4-year deal with the Saints, and he is expected to become one of the pivotal players in the near future.

However, the management thinks that he should seek more minutes on the pitch away from St. Mary’s, and Wolves might be the perfect fit.
