PSG controversial right-back Serge Aurier has emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham according to reports from French publication Telefoot, and his value is reportedly between £15million and £20million.
The arrival of Dani Alves from Juventus appears to have completely ruled the Ivory Coast international out of Unai Emery’s first team reckoning, and a move away from Parc des Princes is now imminent for the 24-year-old full-back.
Manchester United have earlier been linked with a move for Aurier, but his legal troubles; which denied him entry into the U.K last season, could prove to be a stumbling block.
Per adventure that can be sorted out, Tottenham won’t hesitate to challenge the Red Devils for his services as they look to add a quality right-back to the team following Kyle Walker’s departure.
His off-field antics and troubles apart, Aurier is a fine defender whose style of play is akin to Walker’s.
Spurs could do with such a quality full-back able to give Kieran Trippier stiff competition for playing time next season.
However, Manchester United pose a huge threat to Tottenham’s ambitions of landing the versatile defender, and this could see both clubs go all out in convincing the PSG star to join their sides.
