Celtic FC have done a good job of bringing in young players that are no longer wanted by their ‘bigger’ counterparts of late, and that appeared to be a reason that Charly Musonda of Chelsea could be making a move to Parkhead.
However, the move looks in jeopardy now that his brother has spoken on the matter. Lamisha took to Instagram, via the Daily Record, to say “Celtic’s interest is flattering but Charly’s a Chelsea player and is focused on Chelsea.”
This isn’t all that surprising to see someone taking the ‘party’ line of sorts here. It’s normal to see politically correct talk from everyone nowadays, but that sometimes makes you feel like the move is all the more imminent.
There is no doubting Musonda’s talent and potential, but are we really sure Chelsea of all teams will give him a chance? They don’t have the best track record at doing that, and while it’s noble to try and win a spot there, it’s just not very likely.
So this move still looks like being a decent probability that it will happen. Stay tuned in the coming days, weeks, and hopefully not months as we find out.
