Tottenham reportedly have to increase their bid to £26million to sign midfielder

Pochettino

As the sources close to the Daily Star are finding out, Tottenham is involved in negotiations with Sporting Lisbon about a possible transfer of Adrien Silva, and it seems that Portuguese club is now lowering the price for their captain.

Reportedly, Sporting has told the Spurs that they can have Silva for £26 million.

The 28-year-old midfielder is the captain of the Portuguese club, but he seems to be keen on a move to the Premier League. Leicester City are also heavily linked with the player, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side seem to be winning the race to sign Silva.

The Spurs have reportedly launched the initial offer of £17.5 million, but the release clause for the player is set at £39.5.

According to the reports, the two sides could meet somewhere in the middle, and £26 million seems to be a fair price for the Portuguese international.
