Tottenham attacker reportedly wanted by German outfit

As The Mirror reports, Vincent Janssen could be offered an escape route out of North London by Borussia Monchengladbach, who are keen on securing his services during the summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old striker never managed to nail a spot in the Spurs’ first team last season, and manager Mauricio Pochettino is now looking to offload the player who turned out to be a flop.

Janssen arrived from AZ Alkmaar in a transfer worth £17 million, with huge expectations on his shoulders and him scoring only two Premier League goals was certainly a major let down.

Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son are preferred options when it comes to the attacking area of Pochettino’s team, and the manager does not see the Dutchman as a viable solution up front.

Borussia Monchengladbach have been doing pretty well on the financial front in the recent period, and they certainly have some money left after big-money transfers of Granit Xhaka and Mahmoud Dahoud in recent years.
