As Goal.com reports, Willy Caballero is still weighing his options, and he could join Newcastle United or Chelsea after he comes back from holidays in Argentina.
According to reports, Rafa Benitez has made an offer to sign the veteran keeper, in an effort to bolster his squad ahead of the Premier League challenges. Tim Krul and Matz Sels are clearly out of his plans, and it seems that the arrival of Pepe Reina is now in serious doubt.
However, Chelsea are also in need of a reliable goalkeeper now that Asmir Begovic has left the club, but it is obvious that Caballero would play second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge.
On the other hand, Caballero would probably have a place in the starting lineup with the Magpies, and Rafa Benitez would give him a better-suiting role than just sitting on the bench and watching the game from afar.
