Belgium and Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has claimed that Chelsea are keen to sign him from his club in the upcoming summer transfer window, as per Sky Sports, via Belgian magazine HLN Nina.
In an interview given to the Belgian Magazine HLN Nina, the 28-year-old has claimed that Conte is his long term admirer.
Nainggolan also claimed that the English club has entered into talks with the Serie A outfit for his signature.
Nainggolan said:
“There has been contact between Roma and Chelsea. But I will not get involved so long as there is no agreement between the clubs.”
“Chelsea are keen to strengthen their squad and Conte is a manager who wanted to sign me before. Chelsea are a big club.”
“But the transfer is not a done deal and it would not be easy to leave Italy after 11 years.”
Known as a midfield pit-bull among the Roma fans, the Belgian International joined Roma in 2014 initially on loan.
However, after taking advantage from his performances, the Serie A side decided to make his loan permanent, after paying 6 million Euros to fellow Italian side Cagliari.
Since then, Nainggolan has attracted interest from sides like Chelsea.
Therefore, if Chelsea are able to lure him to London, the Belgian will undoubtedly add steel to their midfield.
