Guus Hiddink spoke to the Press ahead of the Monday night London Derby against Tottenham and assured the return of Gary Cahill and John Terry. When asked if Terry and Cahill will be available for selection, he answered, “I think so because they have both participated in this week’s training session.”
Hiddink further added that John Terry may not be available for the full 90 minutes, as forcing him onto the pitch right after his comeback from injury might not be a good idea.
The Dutchman feels the team will gain more confidence with the return of Cahill and Terry, as they are an experienced pair. Chelsea are desperate to win the game against Spurs and they will play with full flair and enthusiasm, said Hiddink.
The return of Cahill and Terry will be a huge boost for The Blues, as they face cross-town rivals Tottenham. Although, Hiddink said there is uncertainty whether or not both players will start or play for the full 90 minutes.
The Blues are keen to pick up from where they left at Bournemouth and end the season with promising performances.
