Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reignited their interest in signing Schalke’s Breel Embolo. Spurs are looking to add Embolo to their squad in order to bolster their firepower up front.
They did add Fernando Llorente to their squad during the summer in order to provide a backup to main striker Harry Kane.
However the Spaniard has yet to find the back of the net for the North London club since his arrival and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino may look for a better alternative to Kane.
The 20-year-old Embolo emerged as a top young talent with Basel for whom he scored 31 times from 91 games which eventually led to a move to Schalke where he was expected to become a star.
Embolo is gifted with fast pace and also can play up front as well as out wide. Spurs will however need to decide whether to gamble on him or rather assess his fitness with a view to making a deal during the summer.
