Mauricio Pochettino makes big admission about Alderweireld’s future

Belgian star Toby Alderweireld has revealed that he is happy at Tottenham despite negotiations with the club over a club which have yet to reach an agreement.

Alderweireld has enjoyed three impressive seasons with the North London club during which he has come to be regarded as one of the best centre-backs in World football.

There is no doubt that many of the World’s most elite clubs will attempt to sign him should he decide against renewing his deal with Spurs.

Alderweireld’s lawyer recently urged the North London club to offer the player improved terms, however Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that the defender is content at the club following a meeting with him.

Whilst commenting on the situation, Alderweireld maintained that he is happy with life at Spurs, saying, “I had a good conversation with the manager. I told him I’m focused on football, to keep my game up and help the team.

“That’s all I can do. You can see I’m happy there, and I try to help the team, and that’s the way I always play football.”
