Hull City star Ryan Mason has backed Tottenham to win the Premier League title if they can improve their form at Wembley this season.
The Lilywhites will be eager to win the title this season after narrowly missing out on success during the past two consecutive seasons.
Spurs have endured some frustrating results at their new home ground during the early parts of this season. The opened the season with a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea before drawing 1-1 with Burnley the following week and had to endure a frustrating stalemate with Swansea in September.
They did however claim a 3-1 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund and defeated Barnsley 1-0 in the Carabao Cup at home as they will be hoping to use this as an impetus to build momentum in future games.
Mason now believes that his former club can win the title if they improve their home form and said, “Vincent Kompany is a massive one for them [current league leaders Manchester City].
“If they can get him back (fit) and playing 25 games until the end of the season then I think they’ll be up there but I still think (Manchester) United – and I believe Tottenham (can) as well.
“I look at their teams, I look at their squads… I think if Tottenham can sort their home form out then I think they’ll win it.
“But [Jose] Mourinho has done it before hasn’t he? And if you look at Mourinho and United now and you do look at them and this think ‘this is a United team’.”
