Former West Ham fan favorite Carlton Cole has admitted that he is open to playing for Crystal Palace. The 33-year-old Cole is a free agent and has been without a club since leaving Indonesian club Persib Bandung.
Crystal Palace are in poor form in the League having lost all seven of their League games thus far and they are reportedly considering signing the veteran striker in order to bolster their attack.
During a nine year stint for the Hammers between 2006 and 2015, Cole played 293 games in all competitions and scored 68 goals.
Cole appeared as a guest on Goals on Saturday and while he revealed that Palace have not made contact with him, he added that he would be open to signing a deal should they approach him.
He said, “I’ve not heard anything. You never know what happens in football. Clubs need strikers to take the pressure off. Obviously I’m here and ready to go.”
