Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has issued a warning to Dele Alli following the youngsters embarrassing dive during the clubs 4-0 victory over Huddersfield on Saturday.
Star forward Harry Kane scored a brace to carry on his superb form while Ben Davies and Mousa Sissoko were also on target to secure a convincing victory for the Lillywhites.
Alli has endured a bad week off the pitch after Fifa issued him with a one game international ban following his middle finger gesture aimed at England team-mate Kyle Walker during the Three Lions game against Slovakia early in September.
The youngster made matters worse for himself when he tried to dive while Spurs were 3-0 up in an attempt to win a penalty. Referee Neil Swarbrick noticed it and handed Alli a yellow card.
Whilst talking about the incident after the game, Pochettino said, “I didn’t see it, it was difficult from my position. But if it was like this, he needs to learn. He must learn.”
