Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris has said that he believes that Harry Kane can do a similar job for his club as the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have done for Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.
The 24-year-old Kane scored his sixth hat-trick of the year on Tuesday to help his club to a 3-0 group stage victory over Apoel Nicosia in the Champions League.
Kane is determined to prove himself in Europe’s Premier club competition this season and is currently on top of the goal scorers list.
The England international is regarded as one of the best strikers of the current generation and is viewed as a possible candidate that can end the ten year long domination of the Ballon d’Or award by Messi and Ronaldo.
When talking about Kane, Lloris has now said, “In every big team, you have a big goalscorer. In Tottenham, it is Harry Kane. I think for him he has got a lot of things to prove in the Champions League. He shows his quality and skills at the moment.
“Five goals in two games is fantastic and hopefully he will carry on in the same way for him and the team. We are not surprised about Harry, we know his talent, his skills, his aptitude to score goals and important goals.”
