Football pundit Jamie Redknapp has said that he believes that Tottenham star Christian Eriksen is the most underrated player in the Premier League.
Over the past year Dele Alli and Harry Kane have grabbed the headlines for the North London club. Though Eriksen was on the score sheet during Spurs 3-2 victory over West Ham this weekend, it was Kane who was once again viewed as the hero of the day as he notched a brace.
Eriksen’s goal marked his second of the season and helped his side to move up to fourth place on the standings.
As Eriksen is more of a creative midfielder, he will not score as many goals as many of the other Premier League stars and this leads to him receiving less media attention.
However, Redknapp believes that the 25-year-old is one of the most underrated players in the Premier League and said, “Christian Eriksen is the most under-rated player in the Premier League.
“He makes Harry Kane and Dele Alli tick with phenomenal service — just look at his sublime ball to free Alli in the build-up to Tottenham’s first goal against West Ham.”
