Manager speaks positively about Tottenham’s new signing

Swansea boss Paul Clement has said that he has no hard feelings towards Fernando Llorente after the veteran striker opted to join Tottenham this summer.

Llorente scored 15 goals last season to help the Welsh outfit avoid relegation from the Premier League and his performances caught the attention of Chelsea as well as Spurs.

Antonio Conte’s side were actually the favorites to sign him though it was the Lillywhites who ended up prevailing at the end.

Mauricio Pochettino’s signed the 32 year old for £12.1 million and he will be expected to provide competition and support to Harry Kane.

Despite the player leaving, Clement has now revealed that he understands the players decision and has no hard feelings towards him.

He said, “He will be missed by the players, staff and supporters, but I can understand why he would want to take the move at his age.

“He has fought his way back to a high level in the latter stages of his career and is joining a big football club.”
