Tottenham star explains what England need to do to win the World Cup

Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane has revealed what he thinks England can do to win a World Cup. The Three Lions have not won the World Cup or a major tournament since their triumph in 1966 and have developed a reputation for being perennial underachievers.

They bowed out of the 2014 World Cup in the group stages and were eliminated from Euro 2016 by Iceland which led to Roy Hodgson being sacked.

Many have however speculated that the Three Lions may be able to win major trophies as the likes of Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Kane himself continue to flourish. Despite having yet to reach the peak of their careers, the trio have already established themselves as World class talents.

Kane has now given his thoughts on how England can win the World Cup by saying, “We talk about it a lot. It’s something that we’ve got to change. There’s nothing I can say in words that can change that. We’ve just got to try and prove that on the pitch.

“We will do all we can, work hard together and hopefully it will come together at the right time. At the end of the day, we’ve not won anything for a long time. We’ve had some good teams in the past but we’ve still won nothing.

“From our point of view, we’re in a situation where we’ve got to try and win something and that would be one of the biggest achievements in English history. The teams in the past have found it difficult. We’ve found it difficult in recent years but we have to somehow change that around and see what happens next summer.”
