According to reports, Tottenham are attempting to sign Arsenal target Jadon Sancho from Manchester City.

The 17-year-old Sancho has failed to report to training for City for the past several weeks as he aims to push for a move away from the club as the youngster feels that he has better chances of earning first team football elsewhere.

He has just one year remaining on his scholarship deal with the Citizens and is refusing to pen a permanent contract which means that the chances of him leaving the Etihad Stadium are high.

The young man is perhaps justified in fearing a lack of first team opportunities as the likes of Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, Bernado Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sterling are options for Pep Guardiola in attack.

Spurs are lining up a £3 million offer for Sancho and it remains to be seen if he will be keen on joining them.
