Tottenham Hotspur flop receives offer from Turkey

According to reports, Turkish club Trabzonspor are looking to sign Moussa Sissoko on a loan deal from Tottenham, though the North London club are said to be only open to allowing the player to leave on a permanent deal.

Sissoko is Tottenham’s record signing, having arrived at the club last summer for £30 million though he is expected to leave this summer after failing to live up to expectations.

While French club Marseille have been linked with the 27 year old, Trabzonspor vice-chairman Gencaga Meric has suggested that his club are still in the running.

He said, “Sissoko is keen on joining, we have spoken with him and talks went well. Tottenham want to recoup most of what they invested in Sissoko but we want him on loan. We have made our offer and are waiting for a decision.”

Sissoko knows that he will have to start playing regular first team football if he wants to be part of the France squad that will compete at the 2018 World Cup.
