Tottenham boss Pochettino makes surprise admission about future of 27-year-old

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has indicated that Moussa Sissoko is in his plans for next season amid speculation that the Frenchman could be set to depart the North London club this summer.

Sissoko moved to Spurs a year ago from Newcastle for £30 million and a lot was expected from him, he however has failed to live up to expectations with many fans even calling for him to be offloaded.

He was even left out of the clubs pre-season tour of the United States but has been revealed that he is currently recovering from a virus.

The 27-year-old Sissoko has been linked with a return to his homeland with Marseille as well as to Everton.

It now appears, however that he may be part of Pochettino’s plans for next season. The Spurs manager said, “Sissoko is training with Erik Lamela and Hueng-min Son back home and they are all at different levels so we will see in the next few weeks the evolution for everyone.

“He’s a member of our squad and he’s in my plans for the season and for us he is still a member of the squad.”
