The controversy did not stop there for Los Tuneros as manager Gustavo Matosas was fired recently after just over a month with the team. San Luis has lost its last two games coming off a hard-fought 3-2 loss to Leon away from home and this is set to be a very tough match.
Club America has only won two of its last 10 league games, but is still considered a title contender this season. Los Azulcremas are coming off a 2-0 win at home against Puebla, which was very impressive considering America did not have Guido Rodriguez in that match.
Rodriguez will be back for this game after serving a suspension and is expected to slot right back into the lineup. Nicolas Castillo and Andres Ibarguen both scored in that match against Puebla as they were the unlikely heroes with relatively slow seasons so far.
