Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Raul Jimenez has predicted that his side are capable of beating Manchester United.

Wolves are set to play against United at Old Trafford on Saturday. Due to the fact that they have home ground advantage as well as a better side on paper, Jose Mourinho’s men will be favorites to win the clash.

The Red Devils cannot, however, afford to take the game lightly. If they are not at their best, Nuno’s side could cause an upset. United have also been sloppy this season, as was seen during their defeats against Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham.

It is also worth noting that Wolves claimed a creditable 1-1 draw against Manchester City in the League last month. This confirmed that they have what it takes to compete in the top-flight and are a side that not even the big-guns can afford to take lightly.

Both sides are in a similar position on the League standings after five games. The Red Devils are in eighth place with 9 points from their five games, while Wolves are in ninth place with eight points.

Both teams enter the clash after having won their last two games.

Jimenez, who managed to score the goal which led Wolves to victory against Burnley last weekend, is confident that his side have what it takes to defeat United.

As quoted by Express and Star, the Mexican said: “It was a great match [against Burnley] and now we have another opportunity on Saturday to continue, at one of the most famous stadiums and famous teams here in England,”

“We have a great opportunity to prove that we are here. We are going into it thinking we can win all games.

“We know every game is different and we have to do different things, but we know we can.”
