According to a report published by The Sun, Celtic and Rangers are set to battle for the signature of Sunderland midfielder Ethan Robson.
The cash-strapped Black Cats have been struggling this season and have been forced to utilize young players, some of whom are clearly not ready to play at the highest level.
Since having been required to provide cover for the injured Darron Gibson, Robson has shown signs of promise and it looks as though he could be set to receive a big move away from the Stadium of Light.
His current contract with Sunderland is set to expire at the end of the season and he is likely to be tempted by offers to move away from the club considering their current situation.
It will be a huge blow for Sunderland if they end up losing the youngster though they will not have much chance of keeping him should they be relegated to League One.
