Giants reportedly stepping up interest in signing Tottenham’s key figure

Pochettino

According to a report published by the Daily Mail, Real Madrid are stepping up their interest in securing the services of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino for next season.

Real have been below part by their standards in the La Liga and Champions League this season and are definitely going to make wholesale changes this summer in order to rebuild for next season.

One of the changes could be replacing manager Zinedine Zidane and Pochettino is reportedly one of the candidates who could replace the French football legend.

Pochettino has managed to establish himself as one of the most respected managers in world football due to the work that he has done at Spurs since taking over the North London club in 2014.

The Argentine’s current deal with Spurs does however run till 2021 and does not include any release clause.

This means that there is no way for Madrid to ensure his early exit and they will have to negotiate with Daniel Levy, who is known to be one of the toughest negotiators in world football.
