Everton reportedly looking to allow attacker to depart in January

According to a report published by the Liverpool Echo, Everton are considering sending youngster Ademola Lookman on loan for the remainder of the season.

Lookman is one of the brightest young prospects within the Toffees first team, however with his chances of earning regular first- team football during the second half of the season looking extremely slim, it would be best to send him out on loan for the sake of his development as a player.

So far this season, Lookman has made just five starts and appeared 11 times off the bench for the Merseysiders.

Though Aaron Lennon’s departure from Goodison Park would have seemingly increased the odds of Lookman achieving regular game time during the second half of the season, the arrival of Theo Walcott this month combined with the fact that Everton remain in only one competition do mean that his chances of regular football remain slim.
