Norwich reportedly leading the chase for Leeds’ target

The British portal HITC have broadcasted the news from The Sun regarding the potential interest from Norwich City in Middlesbrough striker Ashley Fletcher.

Leeds United have also been chasing the player after Thomas Christiansen defined the striker’s role as a focal point for the January transfer window.

However, according to the latest reports, Norwich seems to be leading the race for the talented forward. Manager, Daniel Farke is determined to overhaul his squad after a poor first half of the season.

The 22-year-old forward has arrived at the Riverside Stadium last summer from West Ham in a £6 million transfer but had failed to make an impact, scoring just one goal in the Championship so far.

Despite the unconvincing performances, Farke is looking to bring the youngster at Carrow Road but will have to beat the competition from the Whites.

Tony Pulis is willing to offload the former Manchester United player, but both Leeds and Norwich will have to meet Boro’s demands.
