According to a report published by the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa will be willing to listen to offers for out of favour defender Ritchie De Laet this month.

Manager Steve Bruce has opted to utilize Alan Hutton and Ahmed Elmohamady this season, with right-back James Bree looking like he could be an exciting option for the future.

De Laet has been overlooked for the last three Villa squads and it now appears that the club will be willing to listen to offers for him this month, either to let him leave on loan or permanently.

De Laet is nowhere near the first team picture at Villa Park at the moment, as the club looks to win promotion to the Premier League.

With a tight transfer budget, it is hard to see the Villains rejecting a good offer for De Leat, should a club make an offer to take him permanently.
