OFFICIAL: Liverpool midfielder joins Championship side

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool youngster Marko Grujic has officially signed a season-long loan deal with Championship side Cardiff City.

Aston Villa and Middlesbrough have both shown the interest in signing the talented Serbian midfielder, but the ‘Bluebirds’ have won the race.

Cardiff’ manager Neil Warnock identified the 21-year-old midfielder as a suitable addition to his squad, as they are looking to fight for the Premier League promotion this season.

Grujic hasn’t been able to find the space in Merseyside club because of the fierce competition from Jordan Henderson, Georginho Wijaldum, James Milner and Emre Can.

The former Red Star Belgrade player has huge potential, and moving to the Championship could be the right path to developing his talents.

Jurgen Klopp has given Grujic the approval to leave Anfield this January, as he only played six games in the first half of the season, without a single start.
