UCL side reportedly interested in signing Liverpool man on a loan deal

The Sun have broadcasted the news from Spanish outfit As regarding potential interest from Sevilla in Liverpool attacker Daniel Sturridge, who seems destined to leave Anfield this January.

According to the same reports, Sturridge is a backup option for the Andalusian team in case Michy Batshuayi’ loan deal fails.

Recently appointed as new Sevilla chief of staff, Vincenzo Montella tries to improve his attacking line. The Spanish side needs the ‘true’ no.9, as both Wissam Ben Yedder and Luis Muriel don’t possess characteristics of a classic striker.

Sturridge is out of favor with Jurgen Klopp, who prefers Roberto Firmino and Mohammed Salah as his striking force.

The 28-year-old forward looks to boost his chances for the upcoming World Cup, and he will leave Anfield for some regular first-team action.

However, Sevilla will have to beat competition from several Premier League’ clubs and Italian giants Inter if they want to bring the former Chelsea striker at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
