Tottenham and Arsenal reportedly set to battle for talented midfielder

The Daily Express have broadcasted the news from Daily Mail regarding possible race between Arsenal and Tottenham for the signature of Norwich City player James Maddison.

The 21-year-old plays as an attacking midfielder, but he can also cover the wings. The England U-21 international has a powerful strike and great passing abilities.

He is an important player for Norwich boss Daniel Farke, who is reluctant on giving up on his services. This season, Maddison has played 24 matches, scoring six goals and providing five assists.

His glittering performances have attracted attention from Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino, who seems willing to bring the player to Wembley.

However, manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly considering the Coventry City midfielder as Aaron Ramsey and Santi Cazorla are both struggling with injuries.

However, according to the same reports, Arsenal would only make a move for Maddison in the summer, which leaves time and space for Tottenham to act before losing yet another player to the home rivals.
